My four week meditation course has launched
I launched my four week meditation course last week and I am so chuffed that it is already 50% booked. There is still space for you. Would you like to join us?
If you have wanted to find a way to calm your mind, to ease anxiety, to find a way to manage pain, to find stillness - perhaps this workshop is for you?
Starting on Sunday 2 November we will meet for four consecutive weeks from 11am to 1pm.
During this workshop you will earn simple but useful tools and techniques to build a regular and sustainable meditation practice. During each two hour session we will look at posture, focus and the breath. We will play with various techniques and tools to make a regular meditation practice more accessible for you.
There will be time for discussion and exploration and during each session we will spend around 15 minutes focussing on a particular meditation technique and finishing with a guided meditation.
The sessions are progressive and you should plan to attend each date. If you do miss a session you will be able to catch up with a voice recording.

At the end of December my popular vision boarding winter mini retreat is back! The winter solstice celebrates the beginning of Winter and acknowledges the shortest day of the year.
We honour the solstice with this mini-retreat as an opportunity to gather at a time when life can become frantic. We turn our backs on the bright lights, cheesy music and excessive shopping of Christmas and instead turn our attention inwards in a nurturing space to practice mindful movement together and then take our thoughts to the coming New Year.
We begin the session in the present, linger in the past of the ending year, and then turn our attention to the year to come.
We will begin with a yin and flow yoga practice to arrive in our bodies and shake off any unfulfilled expectation from this past year. Following this we will have snacks and tea or mulled wine (alcoholic and non-alcoholic options) and begin to manifest what we would like from the coming year.
We do this by creating vision boards to take home. Vision boards are a collection of images or objects arranged in a way to help you manifest your goals or vision. Your vision board will be yours to take home with you. You may wish to bring some meaningful images or items to include on your vision board and if you don't complete it on the day you would be able to continue working on it as and when you wish.
Taking place on Friday 19 December from 2-6pm and on Sunday 21 December from 2-6pm. This is the perfect way to spend time with friends so book soon! There are six spaces on each session and all yoga equipment and vision boarding supplies are included, as are your snacks and drinks.
A time out in our wood fired sauna can also be arranged after these sessions, extending your bliss for an hour or so longer.
Another idea for a winter gathering
And then I wondered if anyone would be interested in another little gathering at the beginning of December. Some movement to begin, of course, and then hunkering down to make winter or Christmas wreaths.
